Campus Technology Services is receiving reports of issues related to poor video and audio quality when using Zoom, and other video conferencing services, on campus. If you experience an issue, please report the following information to email@example.com: Application (Zoom, Teams, etc), Time, Location, and whether you were using a wireless or wired network connection.
Also, if you are experiencing this issue routinely and using wireless (JC-SECURE) as your main network connection, as a potential work around, connect to the wired connection in your office and turn off the wireless on your computer. To turn off wireless on a Windows 10 PC, put it in airplane mode. To turn off wireless on a Mac, click on the wireless symbol and choose Turn Wi-Fi Off. Either way, please report to firstname.lastname@example.org if this work around has improved the quality of your video conferencing applications.
