The Borough has advised the water is back on for the Juniata College locations affected by their main line water repairs. A Boil Water Notification is still in effect for these locations:
Baker House; Baxter Building; World Language Center; I. Harvey Brumbaugh; Alumni House;
Carnegie Museum; 1631 Moore Street; 1731 Mifflin Street
Please continue to follow the boiler water instructions should you reside, work, or attend class in the buildings identified. The boil water notice may continue into the beginning of next week.
Facilities Services will continue to inform the campus community as we are notified. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
Effective immediately, the Huntingdon Borough has interrupted water service to the following locations: Baker House; Carnegie Museum, Health & Wellness, and 1610 Moore Street. For buildings located along Moore Street (west side), you may periodically notice low water pressure, water discoloration, or no water at all until they are able to isolate the problem. If your building was previously issued a BOIL WATER NOTICE please continue to do so until the restriction is lifted. Should you have questions regarding the boil water notice and what it means to you, please contact the Facilities Services office at 641-3391 and we will try to assist.
The Huntingdon Borough Water Department is continuing their repairs of two water main valves located on Washington Street between 16th & 17th Streets. As a result, water flow has been shut down. Juniata College buildings located along Moore Street heading west towards Penn Street may experience low water pressure or no water flow at all. Buildings located along the east side of Moore Street (towards the Quad) should not be affected. This work is being performed and under the direction of the Huntingdon Borough. At this time we do not have information as to the length of time the expected repairs will take.
